Important Points: -
- This provision has been introduced from 16/09/2005.
- Leave to be granted for a period of 15 days on full pay.
- To be granted to married male permanent / temporary Government Employees having two surviving children.
- Leave sanctioning authority is competent to sanction the leave.
- Government have clarified that the Paternity Leave has to be availed by the Married Male Government Employee from the date of wife has delivered the baby.
- Government further clarify that the paternity leave can be availed either before 15 days or within a period of 6 moths from the date of delivery.
- Prior to date of delivery
- below 6 months after date of delivery on production of Medical Certificate
- counts for increment/pension.
- Leave salary: on full pay.
